From day one this boy stood out from the crowd. Easy to spot among his 10 litter mates, with a self confident attitude and playful demeanor, he was always the first puppy to come to us and the last to go away. He let us know early on that he was here to stay.

Tucker’s debut in the show ring was in Palm Springs at the Golden Retriever Club of Greater Los Angeles when he was just 7 months. First time in the show ring he was awarded Best Opposite Sex in Sweepstakes and went on to win Best Puppy at the Specialty. At just 10 months he went north to Canada to take Winners Dog, Best of Winners and Best Puppy in Sporting Group! Then went on to win Best in Sweepstakes at the Golden Retriever Club of British Columbia Specialty.

At 14 months Tucker took our breath away by winning Best in Sweepstakes at the Golden Retriever Club of America Western Regional under breeder judge Berna Welch. The following weekend, back in the Pacific Northwest, he once again is awarded with a Best in Sweepstakes and  a Best Opposite. Returning to Canada, Tucker wins back to back Best of Winners to become a Canadian Champion.

When we thought it couldn’t get any better, Tucker wins Best Opposite Sex in Sweepstakes at the Golden Retriever Club of America National Specialty held in Placerville, California. This was a huge win and truly a dream come true!

Taking some time out to mature (and just be a puppy) we waited until he was two to bring him back to the conformation ring. Tucker finished his American Championship in limited showing including majors at the Evergreen Golden Retriever Club Specialty, Pac Rim Golden Retriever Club Specialty and Inland Empire Golden Retriever Club Specialty.  

Outside of the show ring, he is a wonderful companion.  His temperament is calm yet inquisitive. An athletic boy, he has great muscle tone and smooth, effortless movement. Being ever the boy, he enjoys playing chase, wrestling with the younger girls and is always up for a good snuggle.
